Fixing up the Waterwheel

I was assigned to redo the waterwheel and waterwheel building in a toon shade. I added a few more details than before and made it look way better than before. My art skills are improving everyday.

platform

We had a game test demo over the weeken that I went to. It went well and was fun. I took notes as i watched kids play our game. It was great to get a fill of what the art looks like in the game.
I also made a platform that will stick out of the wall for the player to jump on.

TWITTER

Today I got our twitter page going for our company 1BlockEast. https://twitter.com/#!/1_block_east (FOLLOW US)
I added a background to our twitter which is a background made for the castle level. I looked up the worlds most successful game studios and started following all of them on twitter.

I also worked on completing the look for our logo for our company. I have a few options to be decided on. I went in a bit different direction then before when I was logo designing. I was creating a logo that would be better compatible with twitter and social media platforms.

I worked on a bunch of fun assets for the levels! I worked on a bunch of extra assets to stay ahead. The lantern is my favorite so far! Click on the lantern to get a better view. Also the Art looks much better in the game than on blogger.

Game Style

so the artists and some programers as well as our new design lead sarah came together and we finally decided on a style for our game. Well basically we decided to do toon shading instead of gradients. This will create a lot of extra work for me redoing all of my old work but its ok!

I also in illustrator traced and colored our main character Suni. Leif drew her on paper and I brought her to life with the computer! :)
